Lots of trade rumors in this article

The Cubs are scouting Detroit Tigers closer Ugueth Urbina and have been in contact with Dave Dombrowski, the Tigers' president, general manager and CEO, about him. Urbina is one of several relievers general manager Jim Hendry is pondering as the Cubs try to determine how to upgrade their bullpen for the second half.

I think we should of signed him in spring training. If we get him via trade, I think he can help us.

Oh and let me go with my Pudge fetish. Do you think we can trade Barrett for Pudge? Last I saw Pudge is batting .100 pts better than Barrett. Now to the casual fan your probably thinking, so Barrett is hitting what .200? Barrett is having a good season hitting .285, but Pudge is hitting a freaking .384!!!

Factor in the second half slow downs of MLB catchers and Barrett should finish around .260-.270 for the year. Pudge somewhere around .350.

Anyways back to reality...

SOUNDS OF SILENCE: When the Cubs' front office was informed about a rumored deal of Matt Clement to Boston for shortstop Nomar Garciaparra, the reaction was a stunned silence. Take that as a no.

Bahh, the Cubs were stunned that someone was correct about the details and refused to comment for fear of tampering. Yeah thats it!

I am going to be nervous wreck till July 30th, lol.
