If your not familiar with a little Japanese guy named Kobayashi, that might be a good thing. Professional eating is starting to be a popular sport in Japan, but i doubt it will catch on in the states. However this little guy can down hot dogs like no man you have ever seen, and I find it fascinating, while at the same time thinking, why?

Kobayashi, of Nagano, Japan, gulped down 53½ wieners in 12 minutes and shattered his own world record by three dogs. In 2002, he had wolfed down 50½.

Eric "Badlands" Booker, a 6-foot-4, 400-pound subway conductor from Long Island who came in fifth with 27 dogs, said he and the other competitive eaters were determined to unseat the Japanese.

Yeah, I don't see that happening any time soon. Strangely enough I watched how some of these people so called "trained" for this by eating half pound motza balls to stretch out the lining in their stomach.

If you are 6 foot 4, 400-pounds isn't competitive eating just a matter of survival? Strange, weird, yet I can't look away!
