I really hate being correct about the Brewers especially against the Cubs, but I thought our offense would do more damage than what it currently has done in this series. Like I said this Brewers team will battle you and run up your pitch counts, they are just scrappy.

Lets hope we can avoid the sweep tonight.

Update: Swept by the Brewers. -shakes head-

It is weird how most of what I predicted about the Brewers to start the year, has come true.

Naturally the biggest weak point is the pitching staff. But in all due respect the worst staff in the NL Central belongs to the Reds. I find the Brewers staff to be bad, but has the potential to just be mediocre. The bullpen could become a strong point by seasons end, and the Brewers have some arms they could call on from their deep farm system if they are ready.

Either the Cubs, Houston or St. Louis will falter and the Brewers will finish the year in 3rd place. They might even be .500.

Right now I think they are being a tad bit better than Mediocre. And the bullpen is already a strong point. They are breathing down our neck and are currrently in 3rd place because Houston is faltering.

If there is time to hit a panic button it is now, this offense has been broken for the last 3 years and Hendry hasn't solved the problem yet. On paper it looks real nice to have all those HR hitters, but in reality it is an unbalanced offense that is simply too inconsistent, like I have said all year.

You need to have a good lefty/righty lineup to break up the rythum of the pitcher. With our right hand dominated lineup once a pitcher gets into a groove he will likely stay there the rest of the night.
