Ivy Chat expresses the same feelings about the Cubs offense. He also points out that Jay Mariotti should be sending him part of his pay check for stealing the idea of his post. Heheh.
Panic, this is not. But when 20,000 fans travel north, only to see their club reduced to a block of cheese shot full of holes, a sense of urgency does kick in. The Cubs looked tired, worn and disheveled. The inconsistency of the offense looms over the club, with Moises Alou looking every bit his 38 years lately, Derrek Lee still not consistently earning his keep and Sammy Sosa whiffing at such a pace that he might pass Reggie Jackson's all-time record next week. Oh, how Aramis Ramirez is missed.
I need money also! But really something drastic needs to happen to the offense. I still say call Minn and see what it would take to get Shannon Stewart who is currently on the DL.
